Underneath the shield of the New York State seal, a banner reads "Excelsior," a Latin word commonly translated as "Ever Upward.” We are incredibly proud of the forward motion this blend represents in development of a local coffee movement. Roasted to a Medium/City Roast, it doubles for both brewed coffee and espresso applications. In espresso drinks, Excelsior complements yet stands entirely distinct to milk. As a standalone, it emits pronounced notes of almond, vanilla, with a creamy milk chocolate finish. We've included coffees in this blend from Brazil, Columbia, and an Organic Ethiopian, which produce a beautifully balanced coffee that is also low in acidity.
